You want that geometric pattern, but in terracotta tones to warm up a room? With our color customization service, our entire catalog becomes customizable.

Pigment Expertise

We don't work with paints, but with natural mineral pigments (oxides) mixed with marble powder and cement aggregates. This is what gives cement tiles their unparalleled depth. You can send us your references (color codes, fabric samples, paint samples, RAL or Pantone color charts). Our colorists will work in the laboratory to develop your custom shade. We adjust the proportions to closely match your request, while preserving the matte finish and vibrancy inherent to cement.

A Controlled Timeframe for Your Construction Projects

Customization takes time, as it's a handcrafted process, but we understand that your projects have deadlines. Once the color and pattern are approved, it takes approximately six weeks to receive your dream tile. This timeframe includes the time for handcrafted production, natural drying (the tile isn't fired; it dries slowly to achieve its hardness), and logistics. It all begins with your drawing. Once you've sent it to us, along with your desired format (usually 20x20 cm, but other formats are possible), our technical team takes over. The key step is the creation of the "divider." This is the brass mold, the true skeleton of the tile, which will separate the colors during the casting process. Our artisans must interpret your design to make it technically feasible for cloisonné. It's a constant dialogue to respect the finesse of your artwork while ensuring production feasibility. Once this divider is created, it belongs to you: it is the matrix of your exclusive creation.

Prototyping and Validation

Nothing replaces the feel of the material. Before launching production of your series, we conduct tests. We send you a visual or a final model for approval. This step is crucial: it allows you to verify that the reality matches your vision, that the solid and void areas are balanced, and that the design catches the light as you imagined. Reproducing Antique Tiles: Saving Heritage

At Carocim, bespoke work also means the ability to travel through time. During the renovation of Haussmannian apartments, country houses, or public spaces, we sometimes discover damaged or incomplete antique floors. Or perhaps we want to move a partition wall that divided a living room with beautiful period cement tile flooring that we wish to preserve… If you wish to reproduce an existing antique tile to complete a room or restore a floor covering to its original state, our workshop can recreate the original mold. It's a work of historical and technical reconstruction that we are passionate about. We analyze the worn pattern, rediscover the original geometry, and recreate the colors so that they harmonize with the existing patina.
