Old Red Bejmat

Wastage planning comes first on any tiling job: allow 10% extra Bejmat Rouge Ancien for a straight lay, closer to 15% for diagonals or complex rooms. At 50 Carocim cement tiles per m², that buffer covers cuts, mishaps and future repairs.

Yes, to the standard of hand production: Bejmat Rouge Ancien leaves the Carocim workshop with clean, straight edges bearing the faint irregularities natural to a hand-pressed cement tile. Laid with the traditional fine joint, the surface reads as beautifully regular.

Mineral pigments are the foundation of this red's endurance, reinforced by the anti-UV treatment Carocim systematically applies to outdoor cement tiles like Bejmat Rouge Ancien. Protected from discolouration, the aged-red tone deepens into patina outdoors instead of drifting pale.

0.48 m² — just under half a square metre — is what one box of Bejmat Rouge Ancien covers with its 24 cement tiles. Count roughly two Carocim boxes per m², or precisely 50 tiles, then round up and add your cutting margin.

In practice, the carton sets the floor: Bejmat Rouge Ancien is sold by boxes of 24 cement tiles covering 0.48 m², from a single box upward. At €233.40 per m², even a small decorative Carocim project remains perfectly feasible.
