Swallow Tile Steel

Within the Céleste Mogador collection, Carocim develops its own decorative language, and Carreau Hirondelle Acier belongs to it: swallows in full flight, drawn with slender, rhythmic lines on a grey, black and white cement tile. The motif is offered through Carocim's catalogue, delivering a sober, elegant and timeless look with a distinctive Pop twist.

No, it should not: Carocim systematically applies an anti-UV treatment for outdoor use, so the pigments of this grey, black and white cement tile stay protected and the colours remain true. Rated for exterior settings, Carreau Hirondelle Acier keeps its sober contrast over the seasons; gentle cleaning with neutral soap, never acid or bleach, helps maintain it.

Carreau Hirondelle Acier comes in a single specification: a 20 x 20 cm square, 16 mm thick. This handmade cement tile is used as is on walls as well as floors, splashbacks included, where its swallow motif takes flight. For a project that would require a different thickness, contact Carocim directly to discuss the options available.

12 tiles, covering 0.48 m², fill each box of Carreau Hirondelle Acier. Store the unopened boxes flat, in a dry and ventilated space, off the ground and away from moisture. Handmade cement tiles from Carocim appreciate stable conditions before laying, so avoid stacking the boxes too high and never leave them outdoors exposed to rain.

In the cement tile tradition upheld by Carocim, pressing is the step that binds everything together: once the pigments have been poured to draw the swallows, the press compacts the colour layer and the cement body into a single 20 x 20 cm tile, 16 mm thick. No firing is involved; pressure and careful curing give Carreau Hirondelle Acier its strength.
