Green Algae Tile

The Green Alga is part of the SU.Real collection, designed by Marta Pignol for Carocim®, from the "Symbols" picture book.

In Surrealism, green algae symbolizes vital energy, organic growth, and the fluid movement of the underwater world. It evokes the quiet strength of nature and the profound links between the unconscious and the environment.

Each tile is handcrafted using a demanding artisanal method. Composed of cement, sand, marble powder, and natural pigments, it is made without firing, using minimal water. Its texture and any slight irregularities reveal the artisan's touch and enhance its uniqueness.
