FAQ

Vos questions fréquentes

Do I need a specialist tiler to lay Carreau Plaquette 1 Foncé Argile?

No, an experienced general tiler can lay Carreau Plaquette 1 Foncé Argile, though some familiarity with cement tile helps for mastering double buttering and fine grouting. Carocim recommends checking a tiler's references on this kind of installation before starting the job.

How do the variations in Carreau Plaquette 1 Foncé Argile contribute to the final look?

The variation across Carreau Plaquette 1 Foncé Argile adds depth and texture to the finished surface, an effect valued on a handmade cement tile. Mixing tiles from several boxes spreads these dark nuances evenly, as Carocim recommends. Carocim remains available for any further detail on this cement tile.

Does the colourway of Carreau Plaquette 1 Foncé Argile change with the light in the room?

Yes, the shade of this cement tile Carreau Plaquette 1 Foncé Argile can shift slightly with a room's lighting: raking daylight brings out the dark nuances, while artificial lighting softens them. That is why Carocim recommends placing a sample in the room before ordering.

Does the pattern of Carreau Plaquette 1 Foncé Argile fade under the effect of the sun?

No, the graphic pattern of Carreau Plaquette 1 Foncé Argile does not fade under the sun: the treated natural pigments stay stable, unlike a surface varnish, which would eventually wear away. Carocim systematically applies this anti-UV treatment to its cement tiles rated for outdoor use, and Carreau Plaquette 1 Foncé Argile is one of them.

Can Carreau Plaquette 1 Foncé Argile be laid in a bathroom?

Yes, Carreau Plaquette 1 Foncé Argile can be laid in a bathroom, including a shower floor, provided a water- and oil-repellent sealant is applied before grouting. This Carocim cement tile copes very well with moisture once protected, just like any interior application.
