FAQ

Vos questions fréquentes

Does Carreau Plaquette 2 Foncé Tourterelle give the room a Mediterranean feel?

Not really: this Carocim cement tile leans towards a graphic, contemporary look designed by Studio BrichetZiegler rather than a timeworn, traditional style. Its soft Tourterelle grey brings warmth to a hallway, but the structured pattern reads as modern. It is rated for outdoor use, which also makes it a strong choice for covered entrances.

What world does the collection Carreau Plaquette 2 Foncé Tourterelle comes from evoke?

The Plaquette 2 collection is built around a graphic, contemporary spirit, created by Studio BrichetZiegler for Carocim. Rather than reviving classic floral motifs, this cement tile favours clean structured lines suited to modern outdoor spaces, giving the range a distinctly design-forward identity within the Carocim catalogue.

Which grout colour should I choose with Carreau Plaquette 2 Foncé Tourterelle?

Grout colour is the main lever here: a shade close to the tile's soft grey Tourterelle tone keeps the surface understated, while a lighter grout highlights the grid and the graphic pattern designed by Studio BrichetZiegler. This Carocim cement tile is rated for outdoor use in its 20 x 20 cm format.

How do I order Carreau Plaquette 2 Foncé Tourterelle in a specific shade from the U colour chart?

€220.50 per square metre is the reference price for this Carocim cement tile, sold in boxes of 12 covering 0.48 m² each. Not every shade in the Carocim U colour chart is rated for outdoor exposure, so a specific U reference should be confirmed with Carocim before ordering a custom colourway of the Plaquette 2 model.

Does the pattern of Carreau Plaquette 2 Foncé Tourterelle fade under the effect of the sun?

Designed for outdoor use, this cement tile receives the systematic anti-UV treatment Carocim applies to protect its pigments against fading. The soft Tourterelle tone, lighter than the darker colourways in the range, tends to hold its nuance well over time under sun exposure, without requiring any extra maintenance.
