FAQ

Vos questions fréquentes

Are the dimensions of Carreau Sceaux Argile perfectly regular?

20 x 10 cm is the calibrated format of Carreau Sceaux Argile at Carocim, a regularity ensured by the industrial divider mould used in production. Very slight millimetre-level variations can remain from one cement tile to another, a trait typical of this kind of artisanal production.

Is the Carreau Sceaux Argile tile fired in a kiln during production?

No, a cement tile is never fired, unlike earthenware or stoneware. Carreau Sceaux Argile follows Carocim's traditional process: cement preparation, moulding, hydraulic pressing, then slow natural drying, with no kiln-firing step at all.

What packaging is Carreau Sceaux Argile delivered in?

No, this rectangular cement tile is not sold individually. Each box of Carreau Sceaux Argile holds 24 tiles covering 0.48 m², a standard packaging format at Carocim that makes it easier to calculate the quantities needed for any laying project.

How does the price of Carreau Sceaux Argile compare with other cement tiles?

€378.00 per square metre is the price of Carreau Sceaux Argile at Carocim, based on 50 tiles per square metre for this 20 x 10 cm rectangular format. This price sits within the average range for comparable handcrafted cement tiles in the brand's catalogue.

Does the colour of Carreau Sceaux Argile change with sun exposure?

No exact figure is given on this specific point. Carreau Sceaux Argile, intended for outdoor use, benefits from the anti-UV treatment Carocim systematically applies, which durably protects this cement tile's pigments against sun-related fading.
