On Frise Wagon, the black, yellow and red pigments are protected and keep their true colours even with water-bounced sunshine. Maintain the water-repellent sealer a little more often in that demanding environment, and rinse off chlorinated splashes with clear water.

Yes, expect a slight difference: screens brighten colours, while a handcrafted cement tile shows matt, mineral depth. In real life the black of Frise Wagon reads denser and the yellow and red warmer and softer than on a display. Order a sample from Carocim to judge the true shades in your own light before committing.

A simple water test tells you: sprinkle a few drops on Frise Wagon, and if they darken the surface instead of beading, the sealer has worn off and needs renewing. Check high-traffic or exposed zones first. Reapply a pore-filling water repellent on the clean, dry Carocim cement tile, and keep daily care to neutral soap only.

Three pigments and one brass mould: like every Carocim design, the angular frieze of Frise Wagon begins as a drawing that is then translated into a divider mould. Each 8.5 x 17.5 cm cement tile is afterwards filled by hand, colour compartment by colour compartment, so the black, yellow and red geometry keeps a genuinely crafted character.

Blending is indeed the professional habit: since each Frise Wagon is hand-poured, opening several of the 30-tile boxes and drawing alternately from them spreads the natural shade variations across the whole run. The border then reads as one continuous, lively band of black, yellow and red, exactly the effect a handcrafted Carocim cement tile is meant to give.
