Catania Black & White Tile

Black and white here come from mineral pigments worked into the wear layer during pressing, in the pure cement tile tradition: no printing, no glaze, colour in the material itself. Carocim protects those pigments with its systematic anti-UV treatment on exterior tiles. The result on Carreau Catania Noir & Blanc: deep, honest shades that belong to the tile for life.

Sicilian names, one family: Carreau Catania Noir & Blanc belongs to Paola Navone's Mediterranean-modern collection for Carocim, alongside other geometric and ornamental designs conceived to live together. Its symmetrical curves and central stylised heart dialogue naturally with the collection's other cement tiles, in the same 20 x 20 cm format, for mixed layouts with a coherent designer's hand.

Think Sicilian courtyard: lime-washed walls, terracotta pots, olive greenery and raw linen, with Carreau Catania Noir & Blanc underfoot as the graphic anchor. Its ornamental curves and stylised heart carry that southern decorative memory, while the black and white keeps things chic. This Carocim cement tile was born in a Mediterranean-modern collection; the vibe is in its blood.

Nothing for you to add: UV resistance is handled upstream, since Carocim systematically applies an anti-UV treatment to its exterior cement tiles, Carreau Catania Noir & Blanc included. The pigments are protected and the black and white stay true. Your only tasks are the classic ones: a pore-filling sealer against stains and gentle neutral-soap cleaning.

No kiln ever touches them: a genuine cement tile is pressed, not fired. Carreau Catania Noir & Blanc is compacted under a hydraulic press after the black and white pigments are poured by hand, then left to cure slowly in the open air. That cold, patient process is Carocim's tradition, and it is what preserves the finesse of the stylised heart motif.
