Skeleton Tile

On this 20 x 20 cm cement tile, the motif is set into the body using Carocim's traditional technique, rather than printed on the surface. The fishbone paired with a stylised eye that defines the Squelette, in light blue, black and beige, runs through the full thickness of the coloured layer, giving it a bold, contemporary graphic edge.

Paired with light blue and beige on this Carocim cement tile, the Squelette's black adds contrast rather than brightness. In photos this black can read slightly lighter than in person, so in an already dark room, this tile can heighten the graphic effect — extra lighting is still recommended to properly reveal the stylised eye and fishbone motif.

Yes, the calculation is straightforward: at €245.70/m², 10 m² of Squelette comes to €2,457 before installation, for this Carocim cement tile sold in boxes of 12 pieces covering 0.48 m² each. Carocim doesn't list separate pricing by colourway, so the black version costs the same as the rest of the range.

The Squelette benefits from the systematic anti-UV treatment Carocim applies to its cement tiles rated for outdoor use. The light blue, black and beige of the fishbone and stylised eye keep their intensity under intense Mediterranean sun, with no premature fading expected under normal outdoor conditions.

This solid, 16 mm thick Carocim cement tile is treated for outdoor use, so the Squelette easily handles the humidity of an indoor wet room. That same outdoor-rated resistance also makes it a solid choice for a conservatory, provided a water- and oil-repellent sealer is applied after laying.
