How is the Carreau Ligne Écureil tile made?

One tile at a time: Carreau Ligne Écureil is handcrafted in the traditional way — mineral pigments in caramel and beige poured into a divider mould, then pressed and left to cure naturally, with no firing. This ancestral cement tile technique, upheld by Carocim, embeds the colour deep in the wear layer for lasting beauty.

How did the design of the Carreau Ligne Écureil tile come about?

As offered by Carocim, caramel and beige is indeed the reference palette of Carreau Ligne Écureil: a caramel ground crossed by a clean beige line, serving the modern, timeless, minimalist spirit of the Heju design. Other tiles in the collection explore different harmonies, but this cement tile's identity rests on that warm, quiet duo.

What protection should be planned for Carreau Ligne Écureil against UV?

No — even doubled by reflection off the water, sunlight meets protected pigments: Carreau Ligne Écureil carries the anti-UV treatment Carocim systematically applies to its outdoor cement tiles, so colours stay real poolside. Keep the water-repellent sealer maintained against splashes and clean with neutral soap, and the caramel tone will hold steady.

Is the Carreau Ligne Écureil tile sold by the square metre or individually?

Border pieces are not listed in the specifications of Carreau Ligne Écureil: the reference is the 20 x 20 cm field tile at €220.50 per square metre. Many layouts simply frame the design with the same format or a plain tone. For dedicated borders or finishing options, ask Carocim what can accompany this cement tile.

Is the Carreau Ligne Écureil tile suitable for a busy entrance hall?

16 millimetres of solid, hand-pressed cement make it comfortable anywhere, bedrooms included: Carreau Ligne Écureil brings a warm caramel ground and minimalist beige line that suit restful spaces beautifully. Pair this Carocim cement tile with rugs and soft textiles for warmth underfoot, seal it as usual, and maintenance stays as light as the decor.
