Messina Black & White Tile

Transporting a dense handmade product calls for care: the 12 tiles in each box of Carreau Messina Noir & Blanc, covering 0.48 m², are packed and wedged to travel without knocking against each other. On delivery, check the boxes, store them flat and dry, and handle the cement tiles on edge. Any transport concern can be raised directly with Carocim.

Yes: this rounded, rebalanced checkerboard is Paola Navone's own drawing for the Carocim collection, not a stock motif. Carreau Messina Noir & Blanc exists because designer and maison conceived it together, in the Mediterranean-modern spirit of the range. You will find imitations of checkerboards everywhere; this particular cement tile interpretation belongs to Carocim's catalogue alone.

A graphic chameleon, honestly: mediterranean settings with white walls and raw wood, modern rooms with clean-lined furniture and black metal, or classic interiors looking for a chic jolt. The rounded checkerboard of Carreau Messina Noir & Blanc leads confidently in each case. Keep surrounding surfaces calm and let this bold Carocim cement tile own the floor.

Within Paola Navone's collection for Carocim, the patterned designs share the same 20 x 20 cm, 16 mm format, which makes coordination easy. For plain companion tiles to calm the checkerboard of Carreau Messina Noir & Blanc in borders or adjacent rooms, ask Carocim which solid shades from its range pair with this cement tile: matching tones can be proposed.

Glass concentrates light, but the tile arrives armed: Carocim systematically applies an anti-UV treatment to its exterior-grade cement tiles, protecting the pigments of Carreau Messina Noir & Blanc from intense radiation. The rounded black and white checkerboard keeps its contrast under the brightest roof. Add a pore-filling sealer and enjoy a conservatory floor that never loses its nerve.
