FAQ

Vos questions fréquentes

Can I lay Carreau Tangeant Garrigue myself?

20 x 20 cm of dense pressed cement conduct heat beautifully: Carreau Tangeant Garrigue works very well over low-temperature underfloor heating. Observe the classic protocol for a Carocim cement tile — fully cured screed, heating cycled before installation, flexible adhesive with double buttering, fine joints — then switch the system back on gradually. The green surface becomes gently warm underfoot.

How much does it cost to cover 1 square metre with Carreau Tangeant Garrigue?

Behind the €220.50 per m² lies a fundamentally different object: every Carreau Tangeant Garrigue is hand-poured, hand-pressed and slowly cured at the Carocim workshop, one cement tile at a time, with its colour built in the mass rather than printed. Machine-made ceramic rolls off automated lines by the thousand. You are paying for craft, thickness, longevity and a design drawn by the maker.

Can Carreau Tangeant Garrigue cope with the very sunny climate of southern France?

Yes, softly and gracefully: while the anti-UV treatment Carocim systematically applies to its outdoor cement tiles protects the pigments of Carreau Tangeant Garrigue from real fading, years of weather do lend the green a gentle, even patina — closer to mellowing than to loss. Many owners consider this garrigue-like maturing the most beautiful stage of the tile's life.

Is the pattern of Carreau Tangeant Garrigue identical on every tile?

An in-house drawing is by definition hard to find elsewhere: the symmetrical curves of Carreau Tangeant Garrigue were created by Carocim for its Sim.PL collection, and this exact tangent geometry belongs to the workshop. Other makers offer curved cement tile patterns, but this composition — and its green garrigue colourway — remains a Carocim signature, hand-pressed in Provence.

How are the colours of Carreau Tangeant Garrigue obtained?

One colour is precisely its nature: Carreau Tangeant Garrigue plays its symmetrical curves tone on tone in green, making it already the quiet, near-monochrome member of the Sim.PL family at Carocim. For an even more uniform look, pair it with plain green cement tiles from the house range, or explore the U colour chart for a fully bespoke single-shade variation.
