Blue Twisted Check

Because few patterns feel this alive: the wavy, interlaced lines of Carreau Tortillons Bleu, drawn by Martine Murat for Carocim, create a light, playful rhythm that reads beautifully from every angle. In blue and white on a 20 x 20 cm square, this cement tile turns a simple floor into a moving, hand-crafted decor that never feels dated.

This listing pairs blue and white, the combination that gives Carreau Tortillons Bleu its light, playful character. Carocim works from its own colour chart, so for a bespoke palette on this cement tile the best route is to contact the Carocim team directly and discuss the shades you have in mind before ordering.

It is certainly one of its most distinctive designs: within the Martine Murat collection at Carocim, this blue and white cement tile stands out with its wavy, interlaced lines and playful spirit. Signature piece or not, Carreau Tortillons Bleu captures what the collection is about: graphic, joyful patterns pressed by hand in the pure cement tile tradition.

Years of sunshine are exactly what this cement tile is prepared for: Carocim systematically applies an anti-UV treatment to its exterior tiles, shielding the pigments from solar radiation. The blue and white of Carreau Tortillons Bleu therefore keep their true intensity, and the interlaced wave motif stays as light and playful as on day one.

The blue and white version shown here is priced at €220.50 per m², the per-square-metre basis Carocim uses for this cement tile. Each box holds 12 tiles covering 0.48 m².
