Zag Black & White Tile

In everyday life, a cement tile asks for very little: sweep gently, then wash with warm water and a neutral soap such as black soap. Never use acids or bleach, which attack the surface. If the tile looks dull, refreshing the pore filler restores its soft sheen — a simple routine Carocim recommends to keep the black-and-white contrast sharp.

No, there is no separate border range here: the Zag Noir & Blanc is a field cement tile, packed in boxes of 12 tiles covering 0.48 square metres. Each box is prepared to protect the tiles in transit. For a coordinated border, Carocim can suggest matching plain tiles from its colour palette.

This design is an original: two diagonal bands set in opposite corners, drawn for the Baptiste Vandaele collection at Carocim. You will not find this exact cement tile pattern in a standard catalogue — its minimalist, modern look is specific to this collaboration, which is precisely what makes it stand out.

Two colours only — black and white: the Zag Noir & Blanc is already the most neutral expression of this cement tile pattern. Its graphic restraint makes it easy to match with any palette. Within the same Carocim collection, the Zag motif also comes in softer pairings if you want an even quieter effect.

In a bathroom, preparation decides everything: the Zag Noir & Blanc is delivered raw, like every handmade cement tile. With rigorous waterproofing of the substrate, then a pore filler and a water-repellent sealer after laying, it can dress a shower area. Carocim recommends renewing the protection regularly in such a water-exposed setting.
