Toumèto Green Pine Forest Tile

Worrying about fading outdoors would be justified for an untreated cement tile, but Carocim systematically applies an anti-UV treatment to its designs intended for outdoor use. Imagier Astros Rose Poudré benefits fully from this, protecting the powder pink shade against prolonged sun exposure. Simple care with a neutral soap is then enough to maintain this protection over time.

A walk-in shower can accommodate a properly treated cement tile, provided the waterproofing of the base is carefully done before laying. Imagier Astros Rose Poudré can therefore be laid in this damp space once a water- and oil-repellent sealer protects the surface from repeated water splashes. Carocim recommends having the waterproofing checked by a professional before any project of this kind.

Understated rather than busy, the pattern on Imagier Astros Rose Poudré works with a few simple shapes spaced generously apart, in the graphic spirit of the Astros collection. This restraint lets the powder pink breathe without visually overloading the cement tile. Carocim favours this kind of composition for laying across large, continuous areas.

The Astros collection draws on the starry sky and constellations, treated by Claire Detallante in a more abstract graphic spirit than the Zodiac collection. Imagier Astros Rose Poudré reflects this approach through shapes evoking stylised stars on a cement tile. Carocim developed this range to offer a more pared-back alternative to the catalogue's more traditional figurative patterns.

A stain on Imagier Astros Rose Poudré is usually removed with lukewarm water and a pH-neutral soap, dabbed on rather than scrubbed. For a more stubborn mark, leave the lather to work for a few minutes before rinsing the cement tile thoroughly. Carocim advises against any acidic product, which could permanently damage the powder pink of the pattern.
